Bible Commentary – Help Wanted (Please Read On)

Have you ever had God speak to your heart regarding a Bible verse?  If so I hope it was a wonderful experience that changed your circumstance.  From now until November 1st, our mission is to compile as many of those personal moments to begin a Bible commentary fueled by God’s voice.

With those stories, your permission, and God’s leading our hope is to publish those insights in the next printing of our 1901 American Standard Version Bible.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good…”

As a young man I was driving home from a devastating interaction with someone close to me.  During the car ride a voice spoke in my heart and asked me, “Do you know how sometimes things work well with seemingly no effort?” And I remember answering “Yes, I love when things work out as planned”.  As I drove, with tears falling from the sides of my eyes, still devastated, I heard God say “Sometimes things just work, and other times I have to work. Let me work.” I still cried but took comfort in remembering God works things for our good. As it says in Romans 8:28, God is working things together for good.
